New Podcast: RVPocalpyse Now!

I don’t need your civil war. Ow, oh no, no, no, no, no. So wrote Axl Rose, musing on the self-defeating nature of civil war, which he sagely observed feeds the rich and buries the poor, on Guns N’ Roses’ 1990 track Civil War. As ever, Axl had hit the nail on the head.

Or at least that’s how it feels, watching this summer play out, as yet another Arsenal club captain apparently attempts to do one. This time we’re told his motivation is becoming richer than Croesus sporting ambition. Go on, pull the other one. It plays the 12” version of November Rain.

Never one to miss an opportunity to stir the stinky pot, our minority shareholder quickly fired off a fairly incendiary open letter accusingcurrent management of being only in it for themselves and a bit rubbish to boot.

Crikey.

So, we figured we might as well talk the arse out of it, as that’s what we do best. We being the usual triumvirate of A2M writers Tim and Dave, joined as ever by Elliot from YankeeGunner. To be honest it started confusingly, got a bit fractious, and then we all kissed, made up, and agreed we probably aren’t going to sign Yann M’Vila.

(Oh and apologies for the choppy audio. I experimented with a new mic to massively unsuccessful effect.)
